Witnesses Sought After Cigarette Raid In Audlem

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves forced their way into a Co-Op in Audlem and escaped with a large quantity cigarettes and alcohol.

cheshirePolice_logoShortly before 5am on Tuesday 8th April 2014, three men dressed in dark clothing forced entry into the Co-Op in Shropshire Street.

The men loaded the cigarettes and alcohol into a black five door saloon, possibly an Audi or BMW, and fled in the direction of Market Drayton.

DC Lyndsey Burton said:
“I would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or has any information that that they think may help to contact me in order for me to progress with my enquiries.”
