Have you recently left school and are unsure which career path to take?
Or perhaps you know someone in such a position?

Whitby Morrison and Nantwich Town have worked together for a while now, and when looking for the best way to get the message of these opportunities out there, it was only natural for the two local establishments to work together.

The Apprenticeship Programme is one of the key reasons Whitby Morrison have become recognised as the world’s number one when it comes to ice cream vans, trailers and kiosks.

Many of the company’s 50 staff joined after leaving school, progressed through the programme and have continued progressing with the business ever since.

Many of the Whitby Morrison team have built ice cream vans for more than 20, 30 and in one particular case over 40 years!

Nantwich Town Chairman Jon Gold said:

“We are proud of our association with Whitby Morrison who in over fifty years of locally based business have established themselves as the world’s leading manufacturer of ice cream vans, kiosks and trailers.

They are a wonderful family business and are now offering a fantastic opportunity for ambitious young people in the area to train in various skills and then hopefully go on to carry the baton of success in future years and hopefully some of our younger supporters and their families will soon be part of this great company and team.”

Right from day one, every member of the Whitby Morrison team has a valid opinion and plays an important role in contributing to both the day-to-day and long terms development of the business and its products – there are not many places that you can design and build your own ice cream van!

Whitby Morrison FactoryWorking in conjunction with local colleges, the Apprenticeship Programme allows individuals to gain a sound understanding of an engineering environment before being given the opportunity to progress and excel in an area of their choice; this can vary from coachbuilding, to metalwork, to refrigeration and electronics, to painting and signwriting to fibreglassing (and many other possibilities too!).

So from an area renowned for famous production lines, this is your opportunity to become part of one!
