Where there’s a will, there’s a way to raise money!

Scanner AppealCheshire based Solicitors Hibberts LLP are holding a “Will Awareness Week” during the week of 6th October, where they are donating a proportion of their fees to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s £1 million MRI Scanner Appeal.

An estimated 60% of the population do not currently have a will leaving their families exposed if the worst was to happen.
By drawing up a will, you are in control of what happens to your money, property and possessions when you die.
Without one, the law ultimately decides who gets what.

Hibberts CreweHibberts LLP are inviting those in the local community who do not currently have a will to book an appointment during the week of 6th October to meet with a solicitor from Hibberts LLP.
During the session, your needs will be discussed and appropriate recommendations will be made in confidence. You will receive a draft will following the meeting.

A donation will be made to Mid Cheshire Hospital’s Charity MRI Appeal from each fee Hibberts LLP charge during the week.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner AppealThe cost for a basic single will is £125+VAT and £200+VAT for a couple.  Hibberts LLP have pledged to donate 25% of their fees (excluding VAT) to the MRI Scanner Appeal.

Laura Riddle, Charity Manager for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity comments:
“We are extremely grateful to Hibberts LLP for giving their time and donating a proportion of their fees through this scheme.
This is a great opportunity for local people to benefit themselves whilst at the same time supporting a local good cause.
By having your will written by Hibberts LLP during our “Will Awareness Week” you are helping support our MRI Scanner Appeal.”

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal aims to raise £1 million for a new scanner at Leighton Hospital in the next two years.
The existing scanner operates 8.00am – 8.00pm, 7 days per week with approximately 30 patients a day being scanned.
An extension to this could compromise patient experience, therefore, the decision was taken to procure and install an additional MRI scanner.
This will address the shortfall in capacity and the need to look at the long-term options available in providing a sustainable MRI service.

Successfully funding the £1 million target and purchasing the additional MRI scanner will provide a number of benefits to patients, staff and the Trust.

To help the campaign and benefit from drawing up a will with a solicitor from Hibberts LLP, please book your appointment with Laura Riddle, Charity Manager on 01270 273248 or email charity@mcht.nhs.co.uk
