Violent Incident On Crewe Train

Officers have released CCTV images of several people they would like to speak to about an incident on board a train between Hartford and Crewe.

british-transport-policeThe incident happened at about 10.15pm on Sunday, 22nd December on a Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street London Midland service.

PC Karl Harvey said:
“A group of people boarded the train at Hartford and, shortly into the journey, began arguing with a second group that had been on the train since it left Liverpool.

“This soon developed into physical aggression as members of the groups pushed and fought with each other.

“At one stage the aggressors even climbed over seats, containing innocent passengers, to get to each other. All those involved left the train at Crewe.”


PC Harvey added:
“I am convinced that those captured on CCTV have vital information about the incident and I urge anyone with information to come forward”.

Update February 6th 2014
Officers investigating an incident on a train between Hartford and Crewe have cancelled the appeal for information.

British Transport Police yesterday released a series of photographs of people officers would like to speak to about the incident.
As a result, a number of people have come forward and officers now have several lines of enquiry.
