The Sandbach Mayors Charity Ball 2013 Is A Huge Success

Sandbach Mayor’s Ball raised over £2,000 for North West Air Ambulance and Sandbach Girlguiding on 12th April.
Tony Kinsella and Jess Brassington held a Charity Auction during the ball with lots of unusual prizes on offer.

Helen Hopwood, of Sandbach Health and Beauty, who made the winning bid for a Eurocamp Holiday said:
“ We came for a night out and are going home with a holiday. I’m thrilled!”

Other prizes included “Day as a Florist” at Flowers on the Cobbles, Pizza Making Lesson at Domino’s Pizza, a Garden Design Consultation with RHS Silver Medal designer Angie Turner, Champagne Afternoon Tea at Crewe Hall and Cocktail Making Lesson at Picchu Tapas Bar.
The main raffle prize of a three course meal for 4 people at The Old Hall was won by Helen Goodall.

Sandbach Mayor, Cllr Carolyn Lowe, said:
“I was really pleased with how well the evening went.
Beech Tree Catering provided a delicious meal for 150 guests, the entertainment was superb, with a performance by vocalist Shelley Ann Rivers and dancing to local band “The Norsemen”.
“We raised a lot of money for charity that has been doubled to £4,000 by Barclays Bank match funding.
We couldn’t have raised so much without the support of local businesses donating the prizes. I am extremely grateful to them all.”

The Mayor’s next charity fund raiser is a Music, Song & Dance Show on Sunday 28th April at Sandbach High School.
