The Town Council is pleased to report that it has completed work on the signs at the boundary of the Town.
The sub-plates have now been installed and will be used for a variety of purposes on a rolling basis.
As the attached picture shows the first boards have been used to promote the activities in the town as part of the 100th anniversary of WW1.
Cllr Joy Bratherton said:
“it is fitting that the first use of the plates is to commemorate the events of WW1 and the sacrifices made. The message is simple and we hope that it will help people reflect on what this anniversary means.
The plan is to put these boards up for a month or so, then use them again later in the year to remind us all”
Cllr Kevin Hickson, Leader of the Town Council said:
“I want to put on record and thank Cheshire East and Design Office for helping with these signs.
If anyone out there has an idea for how we can use the signs to promote Crewe we will consider them, but there restrictions on what the signs can be used for.’
