South Cheshire College has strengthened its links with RedShift Radio after being named as a new community partner for the station.
The College becomes the 7th community partner for RedShift, the not-for profit online radio station and community networking organisation, and this latest announcement builds on the excellent relationship between RedShift and the College.
As part of the partnership, the College is sponsoring ‘Turbo Youth’ – a five hour package of programmes presented by young people for young people.
In addition, the College is also sponsoring the Monday Madness show with journalism graduate and RedShift news editor Matt Jackson.
RedShift is looking to provide more opportunities for students in broadcasting and give them experience working on other station activities including marketing, social media, events management and business administration.
Liz Southall, RedShift Radio Founder said:
“I am delighted that South Cheshire College has come on board as a Community Partner.
We have provided lots of work experience opportunities to South Cheshire College students over the years and are thrilled that so many have become integral members of the RedShift team, with one becoming a paid member of staff.
South Cheshire College offers students and members of our community great opportunities and experiences and we are looking forward to learning more about the College and supporting different departments with their courses and events.”
