Police Appeal For witnesses After Attempted Street Robbery In Sandbach

Police are appealing for witnesses following the attempted street robbery in Sandbach.

Cheshire policeSometime between 2.30am and 2.50am on Sunday 13th April 2014, a 31-year-old man was walking along Crewe Road between Third Avenue and Hind Heath Lane when two men drove up in a small light coloured car.

One of the offender’s grabbed the victim while the other tried to grab property from his pockets.

The victim pushed the offender away at which point he appeared to produce a weapon of some type.
The victim pushed him away again and struggled free before running from the scene.
The victim gave a description of one of the offenders as being white, aged mid to late 20s, 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 inches tall and of skinny build.
He was wearing a black beanie a dark blue jacket and white trainers.
