Nominations Are Now Open For The Local Hero Awards 2013

Nominations are now open for the Local Hero Awards 2013, hosted by Cheshire radio station Silk 106.9.

Silk106.9Cheshire East Council is once again supporting the Local Hero Awards as it recognise the amazing acts of bravery, kindness and dedication shown in the local area and want them to be celebrated.

  • Pride of Cheshire Award

The ceremony will be held at the Tytherington Club on Thursday, November 28.
Mayor of Cheshire East Councillor Dorothy Flude will be part of a panel of judges.

Cllr Flude said:
“I am delighted that Cheshire East Council is supporting these awards once again.
The ceremony recognises and celebrates the work of many ‘unsung’ heroes who give up their time freely to help others and it is only right that their efforts are recognised.
During these tough economic times these people help make a difference and, along with efforts from the Council, work to improve our community life.
These people make Cheshire East a better place and this is residents’ chance to recognise and thank these individuals for everything they do.
“If you know someone who you think is a ‘Local Hero’ please go to the website and nominate them.”

Nominations close on November 15.
