Mayor Visits Seahorse Swimming Club In Crewe

The Mayor of Cheshire East Council, Councillor Dorothy Flude and her Consort, Alexander Flude visited Seahorse Swimming Club recently to meet swimmers and volunteers at the Club.

Some of the swimmers represented the Club at the Halliwick National Championship in London, as part of the North West team in October and who came away as national joint winners.

Councillor Flude also presented swimmer Sean Savage with a certificate for raising over £350 for St. Luke’s Hospice, when he swam over half a mile at Crewe pool, during one of Seahorse’s swimming sessions.

Gareth Roberts, Secretary, Seahorse Swimming Club commented:
“The visit by the Mayor and her Consort gave our swimmers and volunteers an enjoyable experience as they were congratulated on their triumph at the galas.

Councillor Flude was pleased to chat to the volunteers and observe the swimmers and their helpers in the pool and she was also full of praise for Sean, who was thrilled to receive a certificate from the Mayor, for his charity swim.”
