Mayor Of Sandbach Hands Out Charity Cheques

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Carolyn Lowe, completed her term of office by presenting cheques to her chosen charities North West Air Ambulance and Sandbach Girlguiding on Saturday 4th May.

Cllr Lowe organised a Garden Party, Quiz Night, Puddings Extravaganza, Ceilidh, Mayor’s Ball with Auction and Music, Song & Dance Show.
The combination of all these events raised a total of £5620.76, which has been shared equally between the two charities.

Councillor Lowe said:
“During the year I was fortunate to have a number of events match funded by Barclays Bank and these raised £1931, paid directly to NWAA and Sandbach Girlguiding.
Domino’s Pizza also kindly supported my fund raising with a donation of £250 to NWAA.
Consequently, I am pleased to announce that that total amount raised during my year in office is £7801.76.
I am most grateful for all the help and I support I received from Sandbach businesses and individuals in raising such a fantastic sum for these worthy causes.”

Gillian Edwards received a cheque from the Mayor’s Charity Fund on behalf of North West Air Ambulance along with Tawny Owl, Carole Kinsella, representing Sandbach Girlguiding.
