Staff at the Market Shopping Centre in Crewe will be swapping their uniforms for lycra in aid of BBC’s Children in Need.
Glenn Davies, Centre Manager, and staff from the Centre’s stores are teaming up with instructors from Total Fitness in Crewe to complete a bike riding challenge on Friday 15th November to raise money for the worthwhile cause.
The Total Fitness team will be lending the Centre exercise bikes and staff will be pedalling hard throughout the day to try and complete a distance of 100 miles equivalent of going from Crewe to Pudsey in West Yorkshire, (the Charity’s iconic mascot’s namesake), in just 7 hours.
Shoppers will be invited to give their encouragement to the team and to donate to the BBC Children in Need appeal which will be aired on BBC One that evening.
Centre Manager, Glenn Davies, commented:
“I go cycling regularly and thought it would be a great challenge for the Centre to take on to raise funds for Children in Need. We would also like to thank the team from Total Fitness for their support.”
Total Fitness Crewe Manager, Lauren Rosier, said:
“All the team members are really excited to get involved and take part in this fantastic event.
We hope our members will pop down to show their support for a great charity and perhaps have a go on the bikes too!”
