Market Shopping Centre Raises Funds for Children in Need

Market Centre CreweStaff at the Market Shopping Centre in Crewe raised £476.22 for BBC’s Children in Need by completing a grueling 100 mile bike riding challenge in the shopping Centre.

The event, which took place on Friday15th November, saw Centre Manager, Glenn Davies and his son Luke, each ride a distance  of 100 miles on exercise bikes, equivalent to the distance from Crewe to Pudsey in West Yorkshire  (after the Charity’s iconic mascot’s namesake),  in just five and a half hours.

Glenn commented:
“I would like to thank staff from the Centre’s stores and volunteers from Crewe Alexandra Ladies Football Club who helped us to complete the challenge and to all the shoppers who came to cheer us on and made a donation.
I would also like to thank the staff from Total Fitness in Crewe, who kindly supported the event and provided the exercise bikes for us to complete the challenge.”

The team are now planning their next charity challenge which will take place in the New Year.
