Male arrested after child was approached in suspicious circumstances

Cheshire policeA 34 year Male has been arrested after reports a child was approached in suspicious circumstances in Crewe today 31st July 2014.

An investigating has been launched after a man was reported acting suspiciously in the area around the Morrisons superstore situated on Dunwoody Way in Crewe.

Reports that a man approached a child and attempted to engage with her were made.

A Crewe Police spokes person announced via twitter
“A 34-year-old has been arrested following the incident and will be interviewed by police later today.
The child was not harmed in any way and is safe and well”.

An additional report of an incident involving an unknown male near the Crown Public house on Earle Street in Crewe has also been made.

The Earle Street incident took place between 11am – 12noon today.

It is believed that the Earle Street incident may have been captured by CCTV of the No1 Bus service which operates between Crewe Business Park & Bentley.
A driver has been interviewed and the Bus company have been contacted to attain CCTV footage from buses.

Crewe Police announced that these two incidents are NOT connected.
