Johnathan Clover of Cloverleaf Images, a commercial photography business based in Crewe has teamed up with Chris Cragg of Arena Studios to help launch the careers of local bands and recording artists.
The duo, who work next door to each other, are collaborating to create a promotional package to support up and coming talent in the local area.
Their latest venture was a photoshoot with local artist 16 year old Lydia O’ Dowd who is currently recording a new album under Chris’s record label ‘Craggstar Records’.
Lydia and her band – whose musical style is a mix of acoustic pop and rock – popped into the Cloverleaf studios for some promotional shots, one which will be used to promote Lydia’s next single ‘Shield for a Heart’.
Since leaving school Lydia has been on the road constantly, gigging at venues all around the UK, she was signed to the label at just 14 and hopes to release her debut album early next year.
“I’m really excited about working with Arena Studios and their artists, as it is a chance to help support local musicians and gives me another creative outlet outside of the commercial photography that we provide to local businesses on a day to day basis.
I also think it’s really important for local businesses to support each other and to collaborate to provide improved services to their clients.”
Arena Studios on Middlewich Street who currently run special offers on studio hire on Fridays, are now working closely with Cloverleaf Images offering mini photoshoots to bands and solo artists who record sessions at the studio to help with their self promotion.
“This collaboration is a great thing for all the new up and coming musical talent in the North West. It’s all about image and all new artists starting out will benefit immensely from professional looking photography on their promotional materials.”
