Local ladies join forces to raise money for MRI Scanner Appeal

Scanner appealHandelsbanken in Crewe, held its first ladies event which was a huge success involving over 30 local professionals and customers.

Sarah Young of Handelsbanken hosted the fashion themed event in the branch raising over £200 for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal, which recently launched its £1 million campaign to provide an additional MRI scanner at Leighton Hospital.

Sarah LauraSarah took the opportunity to speak about Handelsbanken, how they operate and their financial strength.
The event also saw guest speaker, Sally Inkster of Diva Dressing give advice to the ladies about dressing fashionably for their body shape.

For a small donation to the MRI Scanner Appeal, guests were also able to visit the accessory swap table, where they could exchange an unwanted accessory for a new one.
In keeping with the theme of the evening, three local businesses had stands to promote clothing and accessories.
The event received huge support from the community, including local businesses Hibberts LLP, Afford Bond and County Insurance Services.

Successfully funding the £1 million target and procuring the additional MRI scanner will provide a number of benefits to patients, staff and the Trust including reducing patient wait times by 1 week in 1 year.
The existing scanner currently operates 8.00am –8.00pm, 7 days per week with approximately 30 patients a day being scanned and a growing number of patients needing an MRI scan.
