In true ‘Top Gear’ style the drive certainly was not a straight forward one, with the teams being tasked with driving the route in a car purchased for less than £500.

A team are thrilled to have helped raise over £95,000.

The event, organised by Gamma, took place on 17th September 2014 and saw the teams setting off for the 500 mile journey from Newbury with stops in Wolverhampton, Dublin and Co Wicklow.

The three named themselves the Bajan Bandits and managed to purchase a 14 year old, 3 litre Jaguar S-Type SE complete with MOT, Tax and even a sat nav all for less than £500!

The eZe-Talk team received support and sponsorship from other local businesses with Bare Bones Marketing from Middlewich by designing their team logo, providing the artwork and pre- and post-PR support. Zero Signs in Crewe produced the car decals and Elms & Elms in Cheadle have provided the team with t-shirts, complete with team logo.
Jaguar Manchester Stratstones have given the car a health check and completed an oil service to make sure the car is ready for its journey.

eZe-Talk are familiar with finding innovative ways to raise money for charity with their recent launch of Fundraiser Telecom, which helps good causes raise funds by providing their supporters with low cost telecom services and products.

The eZe-Talk Bajan Bandits joined 30 other cars in the race to the finish line in Ireland all to raise money for two charities: Action Through Enterprise and Honeypot Children’s Charity.

Mike Taitt, Chief Executive at eZe-Talk took part in the challenge commented:
“The event was very enjoyable for us all and we’re absolutely thrilled to have taken part to help raise £95,000, beating last year’s achievement which is great!
All of the teams that took part in the rally made a great effort and it was interesting to see who we were up against and the cars they were driving that they’d bought for less than £500”!
