The new store was officially opened today by the Mayor of Cheshire East Council, Clr Dorothy Flude.
The ‘top brand, bottom price’ retailer has created up to 40 new jobs in the community, with its latest store located on Forge Street, replacing the former MFI store.
T J Morris Ltd which operates the Home Bargains retail business is recognised as one of the fastest growing discount retailers in the UK, established over 30 years ago.
Since opening the first store in Liverpool, the business has grown organically to become one of the biggest privately owned companies in the UK.
This is the third store to open in Crewe, joining more than 320 outlets across the UK.
Opening approximately 50 stores a year, the discount retailer is bucking current trends in the industry.

“We’re excited to be opening our third store in Crewe and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers through the doors.”
The 30,000 sq unit – Home Bargains’ largest UK store – gives Crewe shoppers the chance to get their hands on bargains, including a selection of homewares.
Home Bargains also stocks a range of top branded goods at fantastic value, including health and beauty, household, sweets, snacks, home style and drinks.
“Forge Street will be a great location for us – we’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
Opening day was a must for all shoppers far and wide.
Staff were overwhelmed with customers looking to grab numerous bargains with tills ringing all day long. Cashiers worked flat out to clear queues to all tills at their peak of up to what seemed to be at least 40 customers deep said a member of staff this evening.
The store within is undoubtedly VERY BIG with plenty for all to see.
