Gulf War Memorial Returns To Queens Park, Crewe

Gulf War Memorial has returned to Queens Park following restoration after being vandalised.

The Memorial reads,

‘TO COMMEMORATE The Men And Women Of Crewe And Nantwich District Who Served In The GULF WAR 1990-1991 And In Memory Of PAUL KEEGAN.

Erected By The Crewe Gulf Support Group’.

The Memorial is located amongst trees down a ‘currently uneven surface’ path from the clock tower entrance.

There is seating available adjacent to the Memorial.

Also other Good News for Queens Park!

Thanks to Senior Officers of Cheshire East Council, the Friends of Queens Park and primarily the action of the ANTs, half a million pounds has been released by the Council to complete the pathways.
It is envisaged that the work will be completed by the end of summer

Hopefully this will include the path to the now refurbished Memorial.
