St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice have kick-started a brand new ‘Year of Sport’ campaign for 2015, and want to encourage local people to get involved and ‘Do it for St Luke’s’.
A Year of Sport is a community venture, encouraging local people to have fun and raise money by taking part in sporty/active challenges however participants don’t necessarily need to be sporty.
Individuals can climb Mount Kilimanjaro or host a darts and pool fundraiser at the local pub.
If you are a dog owner, why not pledge to walk the dog one mile for 100 days and ask work peers for sponsorship?
Encourage the kids to have fun, get out into the countryside and do a nature walk or kick about, donating some money to St Luke’s.
Unleash the inner sports alter ego or simply have giggle with friends and family, after all it goes to a great cause and every penny raised makes a difference to patient care.

“This year we want to encourage everyone to ‘Do It for St Luke’s.
Get together with friends, have a games night, play pool at your local pub, dominoes in your community centre or take part in one of our organised events.
So come on Cheshire, have a bit of fun and join in our Year of Sport in your own unique way.
Every penny raised really will make a difference to patient care”.
‘Year of Sport’ offers a fun way to help.
