Fire Crews from across Cheshire East have been battling a blaze since last night (2nd July) at a farm in Moston after being called at 22.03pm.
Just after 10pm the Service was called to reports of a fire at Brick Bank Farm, Dragons Lane, Moston, Sandbach.
When the Fire Service arrived at the scene crews found a well-developed fire involving a wooden barn approximately 100 metres by 50 metres with four large cylinders nearby.
They called for more appliances to be sent to the scene.
Currently there are 10 fire engines on scene including ones from Sandbach, Middlewich, Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Northwich and Congleton.
The fire was confirmed as involving three, adjacent single storey wood and brick buildings.
Several cylinders have exploded and crews have been trying to cool four 200 litre butane tanks with two ground monitor jets.
At 23.55 Firefighters started using the specialist High Volume Pump unit to supply water to the scene from a nearby canal.
Crews that were using the ground monitor jets to cool the butane tanks and have prevented the fire from spreading to the farmhouse.
Attendance at the scene is expected to begin scaling back to six pumps shortly, although crews are expected to be at scene for a considerable time yet.
