Father Christmas was joined by his festive friends training in the park ahead the Festive Fun Run which is to be held in Queens Park on Sunday 7th December.
The Friends of Queens Park said we are all very excited that Father Christmas and his friends can join us on the day, we believe Rudolph may beat Santa to the finish line as he knows there are mince pies awaiting there.
The Snowman said he’s going to take it easy and just have a gentle stroll around the park with the younger children and their parents.
All runners and snowman strollers need to be in the park and ready to go at 11am.
3k & 5k runners are required to sign in between 10am – 10:55am.
There is a £5 entry fee for the runs.
The snowman stroll is a free event and doesn’t require you to sign in.
The festive fun in the park will conclude at 4.30pm with a Lantern parade to be attended by the Mayor of Crewe.
The Lanterns have been made by local school children who will be walking them through the park.
We will also be joining in with some carols.
Spokes person Leanne Haythorn said:
“we are looking forward to the event and are lucky enough to have UK Triathlon supporting us.
They bring with them over 25years experience in organising triathlon & running events all over the UK so although this is our very first Festive Run we are confident that runners/joggers and Strollers will all have a wonderful time”.
