Crewe Alex V’s Port Vale
at
The Alexandra Stadium
Supporters are reminded that the away fixture at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday 8th August is a complete sell out for Vale fans and there will be no tickets available for sale on the day of the game.
Cheshire Police have asked that we advise supporters that the pubs in and around the ground and the Town Centre will close at 3pm and will not re-open until well after the game has ended.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said:
“Port Vale were given the maximum allocation of tickets as possible and these sold out very quickly.
We therefore ask any fans without tickets not to travel and warn that if any supporter is found in the opposing ends of the Stadium they could be ejected.”
Cheshire Police also advise that there may be some restrictions on supporter and vehicle movement immediately after the game to ensure that all fans can leave the area safely
Supporters can follow the Cheshire Police dedicated Twitter account (@CreweAlexPolice) for up to date information on the run up to, and on the day of the game
good point but thats unfair for the home supporters too you cant have one rule for one ! but 99% of the away fans from vale are really good i never had a problem in my local where i work behind the bar with them there a good crowd despite the story’s you hear and when it does kick off its normally a home fan thats caused it !
What is the point of closing the pubs during the game when the supporters both good and bad are at the match. Should be closed 3hrs before and 3 hrs after the game. That way no one would be hanging around.
If anythi g is to go off it will do anyway. You dont close the supermarkets !!!!!!!!
