Cheshire Firefighters Will Be Out And About Offering Winter Driving Events

Cheshire Fire and RescueCheshire firefighters will be out and about around the county, offering drivers the chance to have their cars checked before the colder weather sets in.

Along with partner agencies, firefighters will be carrying out free safety checks on cars as part of their continuing campaign for safer roads in Cheshire.

Winter Advice

Tyres will be checked for bulges, tyre depth and pressure by tyre company ATS Tyres and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service mechanics will show drivers how to check oil and water levels and explain the importance of maintaining these levels.

Every driver who has a vehicle check will get a winter driving pack which includes safety leaflets, tyre pressure and depth gauges and a torch.

The CFRS winter road safety events will be held from 10am to 3pm at:

Cheshire East:

  • 10th October – Tesco, Hibal Road, Macclesfield12th October – Sainsbury’s Wilmslow
  • 15th October – Sainsbury’s Nantwich
  • 19th October – Tesco Congleton
  • 24th October – Tesco Middlewich
  • 28th October – Tesco, Hibal Road, Macclesfield
  • 30th October – Grand Junction Retail Park, Crewe
  • 31st October – Waitrose Sandbach
