Cheshire Fire Service Warn Nantwich Residents Of Deliberate Car Fires

Firefighters and police are investigating two incidents in which three cars were involved in fire in the early hours of this morning (16th October).  

Cheshire Fire and RescueThe first incident was in Beam Street at 00:50.
Fire crews arrived to find two saloon cars – a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot 206 – on fire.
There were two separate seats of fire which were believed to have been set deliberately.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

The second incident happened in Birchin Lane at 01:03.
A small fire had been set under the rear of a saloon car.
The fire was out when the crew arrived and they carried out a full inspection to make sure there were no further hotspots of fire.
