Can You Help The Crewe RBL To Identify These Crewe Born WW1 Soldiers?

The Royal British Legion (Crewe branch) are appealing for local people who may be able to help them solve the mystery of a lovely photograph of three brave WW1 soldiers from Crewe.

Royal British LegionThe picture is of three brothers, all from Crewe, who signed up for WWI together, and the Crewe RBL are trying to trace any local residents that might have further information about the soldiers pictured.

Crewe branch PR Officer Steven Kay said:
All we know is that it was found during a house clearance some 30 years ago, after someone purchased it from two sisters by the surname of Rowly.
The question is, were the Rowly sisters related to these young lads?
Well thats what we are endeavouring to find out!
We’re hoping with your help that someone will come forward with some information.

This picture will be on display in The Royal British Legion, Crewe Branch Ernie Cope Pop-in centre (which is the first branch run pop-in centre in the country!)
The drop in centre is situated inside Crewe’s indoor market.

The branch are also looking for donations/loan of WWI artefacts for the lovely museum they have there so people can go along to look and share their memories.

If you can help with the photo or know anything about it then please call Steven on 07832261757.
