The parish Artsfest is to be held at All Saints’ Church, in Stewart Street, Crewe on 2nd & 3rd October from 10am to 6pm each day.
The festival will be opened by the mayor, Mr Dennis Straine-Francis.
The festival will have live music from visiting groups and choirs, plus crafts, children’s activities, and a variety of stalls that will feature decoupage (a kind of collage), card-making, glass-painting, jewellery-making, silk- painting and other skills.
There will also be stamp sales and valuations, drama, poetry, sculpture, and an art gallery to showcase the work of local artists.
Local artists and musicians will include Mark Sheeky, Matthew Plant (St Mary’s school), Wistaston Green Academy and Kings Grove High.
The Vicar, the Revd Steve Clapham; said:
“There will be some extraordinary sights and sounds at our parish Artsfest.
The weekend is intended to be an explosion of artistic creativity which we hope the whole community will be able to enter into”.
Admission on both days will be £1 for adults and 50p for children under 16. Refreshments will be available all weekend.
Proceeds will go to church funds and to St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice in Winsford.
