The Market Shopping Centre in Crewe is hosting a special environmental awareness day on Friday 19th July.
The All Things Green event is a partnership between Cheshire East Council, United Utilities, Crewe based volunteers and community groups and looks to engage shoppers by providing workshops and demonstrations on how to ‘Think Green’ at home.
Event organiser, Deb Lindop of Cheshire East Council, commented:
“ The purpose of this event is to offer shoppers some great tips, information and freebies of how to be a little more green, and even save money!”
A series of stands will be set up where shoppers can talk to experts on a variety of environmental initiatives such as water and energy conservation, recycling and waste reduction and community growing schemes. The team will also be handing out freebies to help residents be more environmental at home.
Centre Manager, Glenn Davies said:
“The Market Shopping Centre holds the ISO 14:001 environmental award are we are keen to promote green initiatives.
The All Things Green event will benefit our shoppers by helping them to ‘think green’ at home which leads to cost savings in energy, water and waste bills.”
The event will take place on Friday 19th July in the former café area in the Centre from 9am.
