The Crewe News was founded during the last quarter of 2012 from an idea of two local people who wanted to make a difference in highlighting the hard work that goes on around Crewe & Nantwich by the volunteers and other people in the area who work in sectors such as charity organisations and community groups, as well as all the businesses that get involved too.
This website is operated in the creators own time and is a not-for-profit venture, it actively encourages local people and businesses to submit their stories about the groups they are involved with and the charity and community work that is going on around our local area.
The founders of The Crewe News, have been involved with community and charity projects by volunteering their time whenever possible, including community radio for 2 years.
They could be actively seen around Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding areas, getting involved hands on, with many of the charity and community groups, events, projects and fundraising activities.
If you are part of a charity or community group and you would like to submit a press release for the website then you can get in touch using the details on our contact us page.
There has always been a lot of interest in what they have been involved in and have made many friends and contacts throughout the borough and have started this new venture to keep the community spirit alive.
There has many changes along the way at The Crewe News with many more yet to come, so we hope you will enjoy the site that has been brought to you so far.
Here’s for a great future to all of Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding areas from us here at The Crewe News.
