The curtains have opened on Spotlight Productions’ Technically Speaking at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
The play follows Louise, Julian, Sarah, Peter, Samantha and Paul, who are matched by a dating super-computer and thrown together at a country residence in a match making experiment.
The cast of Sean Hargreaves, Bethany Froud. Matt O’Donnell, Gemma O’Donnell. Stacey Haughey and Ben Stubbs treated the audience to around two hours of pure entertainment in this well written, delightful and funny play in which all six actors excelled. They made the characters their own – instantly believable with their own individual traits – and flaws! The delivery and timing of lines was nothing but sublime, resulting in roars of laughter from the large audience.
All proceeds from the show will go to BISEE books and you can read all about the charity and the story behind this production in a previous Crewe News feature – Spotlight on Technically Speaking
If you are able to go out and see Technically Speaking this weekend, I can highly recommend you do! Judging by the huge grins on the faces of people throughout, you will not be disappointed! However, just a quick word of warning – Technically Speaking contains adult themes and occasional bad language, so it isn’t for small children. The production team would like to be clear that anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is aware of the content warning.
Technically Speaking runs from Friday 29th May to Sunday 31st May 2015 at the Wistaston Memorial Hall in Cheshire. Each performance will start at 19:30 and tickets are priced at just £7. They are available from firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 07894341150 or via Facebook (Spotlight Productions) or Twitter (@spotlightplays)
